Handling Workplace Complaints in the Return to Work Era
As the pandemic recedes and employees return to work, it is critical that employers are prepared to properly intake, investigate, and respond to employee complaints, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, COVID-19 and other workplace safety issues, and disability accommodation. This seminar will address the risks associated with such claims and provide practical guidance for employers in associating this complex area of employment law. Issues to be addressed will include:
- The scope of protected activity, and the legal duties of employers, relating to harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace safety, and disability accommodations;
- Recommended practices to prepare for, prevent, and defend legal claims arising from employee complaints;
- How to respond to, investigate, document, and conclude internal investigations; and
- Unique risks posed by COVID-19-related safety and vaccine-related claims.
You can participate in person or virtually for this event. Please RSVP with your type of participation by Thursday, 12 May 2022.
