Texas and the 2020 Election: What's in Store for Texas?

As we move toward the Regular Session of the Texas Legislature, the state faces several challenges - some are short-term, but many are long-term. Texas continues to grow and change while facing an economic downturn triggered by the global pandemic and contraction of the demand for oil and gas and petrochemicals. The task facing the next Legislature will be to position Texas for a full recovery — a task that encompasses health care, education, workforce development, and the state’s ongoing need for investments in transportation and other infrastructure.
