Substance Abuse, Alcoholism, and Mental Health Issues in the Workplace: Considerations with Respect to Accommodations and Employee Well-Being, hosted by the Boston Bar Association
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused and increased instances of substance abuse and alcoholism, and has exacerbated mental health issues. Although Massachusetts is starting to emerge from the pandemic, many people continue to grapple with stress, anxiety, and other mental health conditions that will continue as we return to a new “normal.” Kathleen Parker (K&L Gates), Elizabeth Levine (Goulston & Storrs), and Beth Myers (Burns & Levinson) will discuss important considerations from both the employee and employer perspectives relating substance abuse, alcoholism, mental health conditions, and the workplace, including reasonable accommodations and employee well-being.
