Greg Parker is a partner in the firm’s Nashville office and is a member of the Intellectual Property practice area. Greg focuses his practice on IP Litigation and IP Procurement and Portfolio Management. Greg has considerable experience representing technology companies in patent, trademark, trade secrets, and copyright disputes in federal courts across the United States. Greg is experienced in all phases of patent, trademark and copyright infringement litigation and trade secret misappropriation litigation, including developing overall strategies for both intellectual property holders and accused infringers, pursuing and defending preliminary injunctions, conducting discovery across the world, presenting complex technical matters to judges and juries, and arguing before the Federal Circuit.
Greg also represents a diverse range of technology companies in the procurement and management of intellectual property rights. He provides clients with full patent and trademark prosecution and advisory services in addition to handling sophisticated enforcement and litigation matters. Greg also assists clients in protecting trade secrets and other confidential and proprietary information relevant to their technologies, products and processes, and business and marketing plans. Greg works with clients to design, negotiate, and enforce non-disclosure agreements to protect confidential and proprietary information. Greg assists clients in developing and implementing trade secret and intellectual property protection policies and procedures.
Greg also advises his clients on the acquisition and licensing of intellectual property assets. Greg provides counseling, due diligence and opinion work to clients interested in strategic alliances and transactions involving development and commercialization of products and intellectual property assets, including acquisitions, collaboration agreements, and supply and licensing agreements.
Greg has substantial experience representing and advising technology companies with their intellectual property issues in the pharmaceutical, biotech, health care, medical device, automotive, agricultural, animal health, specialty chemical, musical instruments, information technology, consumer products, food and beverage, and fashion industries.
