K&L Gates Welcomes Insurance Coverage Partner to Growing Washington, D.C., Office
Washington, D.C. - Global law firm K&L Gates LLP has added Jonathan M. Cohen as an insurance coverage partner in its Washington, D.C., office. Cohen joins K&L Gates from Gilbert LLP.
Cohen represents policyholders and others on a wide range of insurance coverage matters, including complex disputes involving product liability, product recalls, and supply chain issues, as well as advising on clients’ risk management strategies. He frequently represents food and supplements manufacturers and has been involved in numerous asbestos-related cases, bankruptcies, and post-bankruptcy proceedings.
“We’re excited to welcome Jonathan to our ever-growing office,” said David T. Case, administrative partner of K&L Gates’ Washington, D.C., office. “His deep experience in a variety of insurance coverage and bankruptcy issues will be valuable to clients across our global platform as well as expand our capabilities in Washington.”
Cohen has served as a co-chair of the bankruptcy and insolvency subcommittee of the insurance coverage litigation committee of the ABA’s section of litigation since 2010, and also regularly represents civil rights organizations and individuals in high-stakes appellate litigation.
