K&L Gates Partner Again Named Among World's Leading IP Strategists
Stewart Mesher, a partner in K&L Gates LLP’s intellectual property practice, has been selected to the 2021 edition of IAM Strategy 300: The World’s Leading IP Strategists marking the second consecutive year Mr. Mesher has been recognized on the list.
Based on in-depth research conducted by an international team, the annual guide lists individuals shown to possess world-class skills in the development and roll-out of strategies that maximize the value of patents, copyright, trademarks and other IP rights. Through interviews with a wide range of senior corporate IP managers in North America, Europe, and Asia, as well as third-party IP service providers, the IAM research team includes on the list only those individuals nominated multiple times by different parties as outstanding IP strategists.
“Intellectual property helps to drive the 21st century economy, creating strong incentives to invest in the creation and roll-out of brands and all types of content, as well as the innovation process,” said IAM editor Joff Wild. “This makes IP strategists more important than they have ever been before. Their ability to create significant value makes them indispensable, wherever in the world they operate.”
A partner in the firm’s Austin office, Stewart Mesher focuses on litigation and transactions for the various forms of intellectual property, portfolio management and counseling related to patents, copyrights, unfair competition, and Internet domain name rights, as well as trademark prosecution and U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board proceedings. He is an active member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and a member of INTA's Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee for the 2020-2021 term.
