K&L Gates Earns Tier 1 M&A, Six New Practice Rankings in 2017 The Legal 500 U.S. Guide
Pittsburgh - Global law firm K&L Gates LLP has been ranked in nearly 20 nationwide practice areas in the latest edition of The Legal 500 United States guide. This includes a Tier 1 ranking in the M&A/middle market ($500m-999m) category -- where the publication praises K&L Gates’ “overall level of service (as) outstanding, thanks to the quality of the team, the response times and the firm’s global platform” -- as well as new rankings for the firm in six other categories: Alternative/hedge funds; Employee health and retirement plans; Energy: renewable/alternative; Energy transactions: conventional power; Government contracts; and Transport: shipping.
Along with the firm’s rankings, four K&L Gates partners were identified by Legal 500 as a “Leading Lawyer” in their respective practices, with two of the lawyers now recognized as members of The Legal 500 Hall of Fame for having been ranked as a “Leading Lawyer” for six consecutive years. These partners, and the categories in which they are honored, were:
- Mark Goshko (Boston) – Mutual/registered funds (The Legal 500 Hall of Fame)
- John Howell (Dallas) – Outsourcing
- Frank Politano (Newark) – Trademarks - non-contentious (The Legal 500 Hall of Fame)
