K&L Gates Boosts Labor and Employment Practice with Milan Partner Addition
5 October 2016
Milan - The Milan office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Roberto Podda as a partner in the firm’s labor, employment and workplace safety practice and Global Employer Solutions area. Podda joins K&L Gates from Grande Stevens Studio Legale.
A member of the European, Italian, and UK Employment Lawyers associations, Podda counsels clients, including those in the industrial, telecommunications, and construction sectors, on a variety of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. Recent representations have included assisting Italian journalist Dino Boffo in an employment dispute against the Italian Bishops Conference; Swiss Post Solutions SpA, the Italian subsidiary of the national postal service of Switzerland, on employment and commercial agreements in its acquisition of a postal collecting, sorting, and delivery unit; and an international group of companies managing luxury hotels in Italy on corporate and employment law matters.
Giampaolo Salsi, administrative partner of K&L Gates’ Milan office, stated: “Roberto’s addition continues the growth of our Milan office, not only in our number of lawyers — which has now tripled since our opening in 2012 — but also in our professional services offerings, which are enhanced by the establishment of an Italian labor and employment practice.”
Lawyers in K&L Gates’ labor, employment and workplace safety practice and Global Employer Solutions area advise domestic and international clients in the technology, pharmaceuticals, retail, banking, manufacturing, hospitality, transportation, broadcasting, construction, mining, energy, financial services, and health care industries, among others, on a variety of regional and cross-border labor and employment issues. With more than 200 lawyers, K&L Gates’ Global Employer Solutions team counsels corporations and entities across numerous countries and jurisdictions in meeting the challenges of their global business needs.
