Taipei - Global law firm K&L Gates welcomes Stephen Tan as a corporate and transactional partner in the Taipei office. He joins K&L Gates from Baker & McKenzie, where he was a partner.
Focusing in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment, and trade regulatory matters, Tan has more than two decades of experience advising on complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, trade, and supply chain- and technology-related commercial transactions. He is a member of both the New York and the District of Columbia bars.
David Tang, K&L Gates’ Managing Partner, Asia, commented: “The capabilities and scope of our Taipei office are some of our most distinctive offerings among international firms in Asia, and Stephen’s robust practice and experience adds to that distinction.”
With Tan’s addition, K&L Gates has 14 lawyers — including nine partners — in Taipei. K&L Gates is one of only a few international firms with a significant presence and domestic capabilities in Taipei, offering a full-service practice in Taiwan.
