K&L Gates Advises BARBRI on Acquisition of UK Legal Training Provider Kaplan Altior

London - A team of lawyers from global law firm K&L Gates LLP has advised Leeds Equity Partners portfolio company BARBRI on the acquisition of Kaplan Altior, a leading provider of training courses for legal professionals in the UK. In addition to expanding BARBRI’s client service team, the acquisition significantly enhances the company’s base of experienced tutors for trainee and solicitor skills training and increases the breadth of the company’s law firm relationships.
Leeds Equity Partners is a New York-based private equity firm that invests in the knowledge industries - education, training, information services, and software. In 2011, Leeds Equity Partners acquired BARBRI, a provider of legal education courses to law students, schools, and practicing legal professionals that serves more than 30,000 students a year across the U.S. and globally.
