Gabriel Huey is a partner in the firm’s Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety practice. He manages a diverse caseload, including class actions, representative Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) actions, and single- and multi-plaintiff cases. Gabriel regularly defends employers against minimum wage, overtime, meal and rest break, off-the-clock, misclassification, and wage statement claims. He also has extensive experience defending against claims for discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in violation of the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and wrongful termination. His work has spanned virtually all stages of litigation, from initial fact investigation through the pleading stage, discovery, and dispositive and post-trial motions in state and federal courts and arbitration.
Gabriel assists employers respond to administrative charges brought by the California Labor Commissioner’s Office, California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He also advises clients on a variety of labor and employment matters, including wage and hour audits, employment policies, performance management, terminations, dissociations, and non-compete agreements.
