Our presence in Texas spans more than 40 years with offices in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, and Houston.
Collectively, our Texas lawyers provide comprehensive legal services to public and private businesses across all industry sectors on national and international matters, in addition to those involving Texas-specific law. From lobbying and legislative counseling (including media relations and community outreach), to oil and gas litigation, to private funds, to cross-border transactions, to Texas state and local taxes, our team collaborates across our fully integrated offices within Texas and around the world to handle our clients’ most complex legal issues.
Our Fort Worth office was established in 2004 to serve clients in and around Tarrant County, a major center for industry, energy, technology, distribution, and transportation, which has been defined by its explosive, ongoing growth and business-friendly environment. Our lawyers use their deep roots in the legal and business communities to serve the needs of clients in this thriving region, representing and advising them on corporate finance, private equity, securities regulation, and energy issues.
The office’s Asset Management and Investment Funds and Finance practices focus on investment funds formation, as well as private equity partnerships and joint ventures. Our experience ranges from representing small start-ups to billion-dollar investors and entities. We advise lenders and borrowers on commercial transactions, including secured and unsecured lending and fund loan facilities, asset-based lending, syndicated loans, securitization, and debtor-in-possession financing. Additionally, we advise clients on investment adviser and other securities regulatory matters, and counsel fund managers and advisers on issues related to the Dodd-Frank Act.
Our office also handles energy and other complex litigation matters including royalty disputes, title issues, and mediations. We guide energy providers and pipeline companies through eminent domain issues, such as condemnation matters and easement negotiations, and handle energy transactional work, including operating agreements, diligence, and contract negotiations.
