21 June 2016
Pittsburgh - Global law firm K&L Gates LLP has again been ranked among the world’s 20 leading law firms for global depth and breadth by legal news outlet Law360 in its annual “Global 20” survey, announced today. Ranking 13th this year marks K&L Gates’ sixth successive recognition on the Global 20, having appeared each year since the survey began in 2011. The survey recognizes “law firms that have the biggest global presence and handled the largest, most groundbreaking international and cross-border matters over the past year.”
“We’re delighted with this recognition,” said Jeffrey J. Berardi, Chief Marketing Officer for K&L Gates. “This ranking highlights the continued success of the firm’s integrated global platform that our clients use every day.”
The firm continues to demonstrate high levels of integration among lawyers and offices. Nearly 30 percent of the firm’s work is attributable to matters generated in one office and performed in one or more of the firm’s other offices. In 2015, 480 of the firm’s 500 largest clients used lawyers from two or more firm offices. The average number of offices engaged on projects by the firm’s 20 largest clients was 17.
The Global 20 recognition follows other recent accolades for K&L Gates including being named one of the top 25 corporate law firms by Corporate Board Member magazine; among the world’s top law firm brands, ranking 11th out of more than 400 firms in the 2016 BTI Brand Elite: Client Perceptions of the Best-Branded Law Firms; and as one of the 10 strongest U.S. law firm brands in legal market research company Acritas’ U.S. Law Firm Brand Index 2016.
