Cryptocurrency in 2022 - Opportunities and Challenges, Hosted by American Bar Association
The ABA Cybersecurity, Privacy, & Data Protection Committee invites you to participate their first program of 2022 with an expert panel discussing all things related to digital assets, beginning with an overview of blockchain and the novel uses for it. Panelists will then focus on cryptocurrency, including:
- Digital asset innovation and opportunities, including decentralized finance (DeFi), non-fungible token (NFTs), and stablecoin regulation
- How malicious actors use cryptocurrency, often in ransomware attacks
- Privacy and how that concept intersects with the broader conversation around the growth in popularity of digital assets
- How the U.S. Government, law enforcement, and crypto analysis firms and exchanges can help prevent, detect, and respond
- Recent OFAC and FinCEN ransomware guidance on red-flag indicators and additional sanctions designations
- What companies can do to leverage the good and protect themselves from the bad
