Assisted Crédit Mutuel-Arkéa in its investment in, and creation of a joint venture with, Creative Specific Software, a company which developed an AI-based smart- home solution for the detection of falls of individuals, notably for use in retirement home and hospital.
Represented Ohio-based Drips Holdings, LLC, an AI-powered platform that enables brands to engage with audiences through texting and scheduled calling, in connection with an investment from Accel-KKR, a leading private equity fund headquartered in Menlo Park, California. The investment fueled the next phase of growth for Drips' first-to-market conversational AI platform.
Represented Inflection.com in its acquisition by Checkr, Inc. California-based Inflection.com is a provider of online identity verification and background check services that operates under the brand Good Hire. California and Denver, Colorado-based Checkr, Inc. provides solutions for faster background checks using artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Data Privacy
Provided assistance to a leading university on data protection issues in relation to the development of an artificial-intelligence solution, notably with regard to retention of personal data, anonymization of personal data, and the territorial scope of GDPR.
Advised banks, financial services providers, and creditworthiness assessment agencies on privacy law and the use of data for big data and artificial intelligence applications.
Assisted a leading luxury cosmetics company in the global deployment of Virtual Try-On technology that would allow users to leverage on AI-powered augmented reality (AR) functionalities to try various shades of nail polish, lipstick, and foundation on its e-commerce platform.
